MAGNA GUARD
In every Mitick City the iron visage and steel-soled boot of the Magna Guard can be found. Originally formed to defend the walking cities from external raids by the people of the chemical wastes, worsening conditions aboard the cities has seen the role of the Magna Guard shift from defender to oppressor, enforcing the will of their totalitarian ruler.
To operate in the chemical-laden atmosphere of Neo Plasia, full-face helmets and rebreathers are mandatory. A standard Magna Guard trooper can be recognised by their heat carbine and great coat, but there are many specialised units within the Magna Guard, from the airborne Strumdrag to the horrific radiation-spewing Giftik troopers.
Recruits are drawn from the repressed population with little more than the promise of additional rations and accommodation marginally superior to the slum-dorms. However, being part of the Guard does not exempt them from the brutal pragmatism that typifies every aspect of Neo Plasia. The ruling tyrack thinks nothing of expending his soldiers like any other resource, and will not hesitate to do so if it ensures his rule for even just one more cycle.
